Guided tours in
Las Médulas

From the village of Las Médulas begins the tour of the Valiñas Cirque, one of the most popular guided tours of this Cultural and Natural Space.

Useful insights:

On the Las Valiñas route, in order to guarantee availability, it is advisable to book in advance, and this is mandatory for groups of more than 20 people.

It is a simple route of just three kilometres (round trip), which takes about two hours. It is a surprising itinerary because it places the visitor in the middle of a labyrinth of pinnacles and chestnut trees and in front of the last and most spectacular mining sector exploited in Las Médulas.

This interpretative route allows you to understand how the mine and the technique of ruina montium worked. At the same time, it prepares you to be able to recognise the mining traces scattered throughout the landscape of Las Médulas on the following routes at your own pace.

Throughout the year, the Las Médulas Foundation organises a dynamic programme of guided tours of Las Médulas, which you should keep an eye out for as bookings fill up quickly.

These are interpretative routes for all audiences and free of charge for children (up to 10 years old). They are designed with low difficulty to be enjoyed by the whole family.

They cover the most emblematic corners of Las Médulas with itineraries that emphasise the observation of the exceptional natural values of the territory and its cultural features. Dogs are welcome on the trails, although they must remain leashed and under control during the activity.
