The area set aside for public visits to the Cultural and Natural Space of Las Médulas is designed to make it easier for people with disabilities to enjoy it.
Useful insights:
People with reduced mobility who wish to visit the Cuevona can use wheelchairs on the asphalt track. Once the asphalt track ends, there is a 100-metre stretch of compacted earth sloping down to the cave.

The interpretation and tourist information centres in Las Médulas are also constantly working to improve the physical accessibility for visitors.
The Casa del Parque in Carucedo has a parking area with spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility. The pavement at the entrance to the centre is also made of compact concrete and is smooth and slip-resistant.
The entrance doors and different rooms, exhibition spaces, transit areas and toilets at the Casa del Parque are free of obstacles. The entire interior of the building is therefore accessible.
The facility has an access ramp and leads to a 400-metre-long adapted path that reaches the shore of Lake Carucedo where there is a recreational area. The layout of the path consists of a wooden footbridge with handrails on both sides and a final stretch with gravel.
The route also has an accessible platform or viewpoint to observe the lake landscape and its water birds. It has benches with enough space between them to allow a wheelchair user to reach the water bird viewing point.
The Las Médulas Archaeological Learning Centre has parking spaces reserved for vehicles for people with reduced mobility. The entrance to the facilities has an access ramp and inside is fully adapted, including a lift to facilitate the transit of people with disabilities.
The Las Médulas Visitor Reception Centre is accessible to all types of users, including its toilets. In addition, all the panels have Braille texts.
